High quality tissue adhesives and unsurpassed reliability from a name you trust.
Without a good tissue adhesive, tissue can have a hard time adhering onto a microscope slide. The last thing a histotechnician needs to worry about is having their tissue falling off. For years histotechnicians were using Elmer's Glue to help tissue adhere to the slide, but something far better was needed. With that in mind, American MasterTech has perfected Chrome Alum Adhesive, a popular tissue adhesive that has been successfully used by histotechnicians for nearly three decades.
American MasterTech's Chrome Alum Adhesive is an excellent replacement for the traditional chromium potassium sulfate alum, which is said to grow fungus inside the solution, which then can be easily transferred onto the tissue.
Chrome Alum Adhesive is very simple to use; just add two capfuls of chrome alum adhesive to a waterbath and stir. The special formula inside American MasterTech's chrome alum adhesive helps the tissue adhesive disperse evenly into the waterbath. Once the chrome alum adhesive is added, place the paraffin section into the waterbath. The chrome alum adhesive will create an adhesive bond when paraffin sections are placed onto a microscope slide and oven-dried.
