These versatile, inert, self-healing polyvinyl rubber cutting mats are designed for repeated, extended use and easy maintenance. Each mat offers two usable surfaces and the self-healing characteristics conceals cuts. The Harris Cutting Mat™ may be periodically cleaned with ethanol.
The Harris Uni-Core is very simple to use. First, position the sample on the Harris Cutting Mat™. Remove the protective cap from the Harris Uni-Core with a gentle twisting and firmly hold the Harris Uni-Core in place. Use your available hand to hold the mat and material steady while pushing downward into the sample with a semi-circular rotation until the tip passes through the sample. Note: Do not press on the plunger while cutting. Next, lift the Harris Uni-Core away from the sample and the cut sample will be retained in the cutter tip. To eject the cut sample from the Harris Uni-Core press on the plunger.
