This stain has three primary stains, Verhoeff’s Elastic Stain, Alcian Blue, and Crocein Scarlet which produce purple to black elastic fibers and nuclei, blue to green mucins, red muscle, and red fibrinoid against a yellow background with collagen, counterstained by Alcoholic Saffron Solution. 100ml Stain Kit yields between 36 and 45 slides. Pint Stain Kit yields between 144-225 slides. Slide Yields assume maximum slides stained per run, maximum runs per use.
